Korean Cold Noodles (Mul Naengmyeon)

It's summer in Seoul! And we have over 30°C this week. This dish is one that many Koreans like to eat in summer.

The buckwheat noodles have an elastic texture and come in a cold and partly icy beef broth. In addition you can add a vinegar and mustard sauce to eat which defines and gives the broth a fresher and clearer taste. Here we had two varieties which are eaten together with freshly grilled beef.

There are two types of Mul Naengmyeon (물냉면). The second one is called Bibim Naengmyeon (비빔냉면) and is spicy basically due the to gochuchan-sauce. You probably already know what I will say, but yes, I love Naengmyeon too! It's the best to eat in this heat. 😄
