Seoul has amazingly various food places and many are very reasonably priced. You can find different kinds of food in every corner of the city which is connected to the fact that Korean people eat out a lot since they have very long working hours and usually donโt have the time to cook.
As for me, I love food and I am always curious to try new food. Seoul seems to be the perfect place for that. ๐ Besides Korean food you will most likely find asian food places here, e.g. Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese. But other cuisines like Italian or Mexican got very popular here too.
From a friend I learned that this is the most common dish that Koreans like to eat for lunch: ์ค๋ ํ. ์ค๋ ํ is a soup made of beef-broth, with sliced beef in it and thin wheat noodles. This dish comes in a hot stone pot with sides dishes (๋ฐ์ฐฌ, Banchan). This restaurant served use Kimchi (๊น์น), Kkakdugi (๊น๋๊ธฐ) and fishcake (์ค๋). We got redbean-rice served with the ์ค๋ ํ. You then put the rice into the soup. I like to put the rice into it spoon by spoon (not all the rice once). Itโs really delicious to eat the with beef-broth-soaked-in-rice together with all the ๋ฐ์ฐฌ! slurpslurp ๐
